Hey! I’m Gloria, a nature loving, big Colleen Hoover reader and a 2nd year BA (Hons) Graphic Design student.

I am comfortable using the Adobe Creative Suite, still further developing my skills as a designer. I would also like to venture into After Effects and Blender, exploring motion graphics to take my work to the next level. I’m also learning coding – it’s interesting, I’m not yet convinced that I’m a natural coder.

Branding is one of my favourite areas of design – it is something magical about bringing products to life through design. One project I really enjoyed was creating a LUSH Well-being Toolkit for festival-goers. Typography also interests me, especially the challenge of making expressive designs with traditional rules of readability and legibility. I got to experiment with this within my Zine Project.

Alongside my studies, I work part-time at Toolstation, where I’ve learned the value of staying calm and being helpful with customers, even when handling with difficult ones. It’s also sharpened my skills in organisation and teamwork – which helped me during the Post Growth Branding Project. I like the collaborative process of working with others, sharing ideas and concepts, it often leads to creating better results together.

I’m also passionate about animal welfare and aim to work in environments that either support animal-related causes, such as animal charities or align with my values by avoiding companies that test on animals.
